The Cuisinart Dcc-1200 Coffee Maker - Best on the Market?

This particular coffee maker has been the one in the Cuisinart range that has had the most reviews. The one thing consistently commented on is that the carafe pours so well, unlike so many other carafes.

If you do not have your own filter law or you don't go for bottled water, then you absolutely do need to go for a coffee maker with an in-built filter because your coffee will be so much better. This model has a charcoal filter which needs to be replaced every now and then.

The recommended filter changing time is after 60 days, or if you make more than one pot per day then after 60 uses.

The coffee produced is so good you may wish it produced 20 cups instead of 12. On the other end of the scale you can make whatever from 1-4 cups. The coffee grounds are introduced via the top of the machine and not in one of the many pull-out drawer systems.

A full capacity run of 12 cups will only take about 8 or 9 minutes to faultless and again, the machine helps by beeping a few times to tell you that the brewing has finished.

If you can't wait the full 8 or 9 minutes you can take benefit of the 'brew pause' function to get yourself a cup of coffee before the whole estimate is brewed. The flow will stop to allow you to pour yourself a cup from the carafe.

With the Dcc-1200 you get the benefit of a built-in self cleaning option, and the beauty of this is that the machine itself will tell you when this is necessary. It only means you have to use vinegar/water in a run through cycle and this will clear any residue from the tank and workings.

The glass carafe is ordinarily considered to be very popular ,favorite and good looking plus the deal with has been ergonomically designed to fit your hand for comfortable use. What makes this a great pourer is that it has a quite pronounced spout so you should not have any trouble with spillage.

When it comes to filling the water reservoir, the measuring arrangement is not that easy to see so that you may find it best just to fill your carafe to the level desired and plainly pour that estimate into the tank.

Not only is the carafe cool looking but the brushed stainless steel halt gives this appliance a very good appearance in your kitchen and it not only looks good but its execution is very good as well.

You do get a built in gold filter which you can use as it is, or with paper filter cones. If you use paper filters obviously these will cost you but balanced against this cleaning is easier. On the other hand, if you use the filter without a paper filter, you will save money but you must expect the cleaning to take a small longer. The built-in filter is absolutely removed from the holder where it sits, for ease of cleaning.

There is a clock for you to set to 'on' and 'off' positions and this is very simple to use. This means that you can set it when you go to bed so that you can wake up to the beautiful smell of freshly brewed coffee in the morning. Plus, with the self-operating switch off there is no worry about going out of the house and forgetting to switch off the machine, it will do this itself, so no worries.

Are you the sort of man who 'kills' coffee makers at quarterly intervals? Well, you don't have to worry about this with the Dcc-1200, you won't kill this one.

There is one minor drawback to filling this machine, the water compartment is situated in a small angle of the machine and to get to it you may have to pull your machine out from under your top cupboards, if this is where you keep it. You would have to take the machine from under the cupboards also when you wanted to replace the charcoal water filter.

This machine is very good at what it does, it has been designed well to give you great tasting coffee consistently as well as looking good.

The Dcc-1200 coffee maker you will get a 3-year warranty.
